Restaurants

A North American hotspot for fine dining, Montreal shines with its rich, diverse selection of restaurants—from the quiet neighborhood café to the most happening place of the day. We've selected a few you won't want to miss.

QUEUE DE CHEVAL
The best steakhouse in Montreal, expensive but an experience not to be missed!

FERREIRA
Portuguese at its best. The biggest port selection in Canada combined with wonderful fish and seafood.

LALOUX
French bistro at its finest in Montreal’s Latin Quarter. Great wine list and excellent use of local products for superb cuisine. Impeccable service.

PIMENT ROUGE
Exquisite Chinese dining. Elegant and attentive service.

LE NARCISSE
One of Old Montreal’s best French restaurants. Incredible wine cellar with personalised service. Winner of the Ulysses prize for food three years in a row.

SHO-DAN
For excellent sushi right around the corner.

GLOBE
One of the best restaurants located on the “Main.” Very happening and trendy. Great Mediterranean / Fusion cuisine in a fun ambiance.

ROSALIE
This French restaurant offers one of the best nouvelle cuisines in town. Enjoy their wonderful terrace during the summer and its cool, trendy ambiance.

GANDHI
The best Indian restaurant in the city. Homemade cooking at its best.

DNA RESTAURANT
This restaurant has a decidedly surprising décor with glass panes surrounding the tables, providing guests with added intimacy, plus a lounge that is extremely colourful. The menu is simple, but tantalizing, featuring Mediterranean influences mostly from the south of Italy. Plate presentation is alluring and the service is exceedingly friendly – characteristics that differentiate this hotspot from the scores of other chic Montreal restaurants. The name DNA is derived from the co-owners’ initials – Derek and Alex.

CLUB CHASSE ET PÊCHE
This restaurant offers a double menu: fish and seafood plus game. Its cuisine is innovative and absolutely delicious. The mood is electrifying and brings vitality to the Old Montreal area. The hushed décor and colours are rather masculine.

JOE BEEF
Montreal’s new hot spot. This small 35-seat restaurant is incredibly eclectic. The cuisine is delicious and, contrary to its name, their specialty is fish and seafood. The mood is animated and lively because the place is always jam-packed.

CAVALLI
Located in the heart of downtown, the restaurant is similar to those you would find on the Main (Saint-Laurent Street). Very New York in style with its contemporary décor and vast spaces spread over two floors. Its extremely modern Italian cuisine is far from traditional.

RESTAURANT EUROPEA
Without a doubt, one of Montreal’s finest restaurants. Mediterranean décor, impeccably attentive and friendly service, delectable cuisine.

LES TROIS PETITS BOUCHONS
Selected, this year, in En Route Magazine as one of Canada’s Best New Restaurants. Experience the simplicity and warmth of this small bistro located in the Plateau district. The three ‘’bouchons’’ (little corks) are Xavier Burini, Michel Charette and Audrey Dufresne, who passionately run the dining area and kitchen. Remember those names, as these three hosts are sure to become your best friends.
